One of the many questions we get is what type of exercises are great to do while wearing your waist trainer. The good news is almost all types of exercises are fine to do while waist training, especially since almost all of our trainers are workout trainers. Before we share some of our preferred waist trimming workouts, check out this list of our exercise trainers:
Running and Walking
We don’t recommend going on an intense run or marathon in a waist trainer, as it may not be safe. However, going on a light run or walking is perfectly fine. We recommend doing a slow jog for about an hour.
Pilates and yoga are perfect exercises to do while waist training. These two full body exercises tone your body from head to toe. They are also great to help build flexibility and muscle tone. We definitely recommend you do these at least once a week, and the best thing is you can continue doing them while wearing your workout trainer, just try to avoid any crunches or crunch workouts.
Jump Rope Exercises
Who would’ve thought that when we were jumping rope as a child we were doing cardio? This childhood favorite is a great way to get your heart pumping and can also be easily done while wearing one of our waist trainers.
If you’re looking to tone your arms, shoulders and back, we recommend you doing light weight lifting exercises. Grab a pair of dumbbells and do a few lateral raises, lunges, and bicep curls.
Upper Body Workouts
Pushups, pullups, and chair dips are all great upper body exercises and we love doing them while waist training. While doing each of these exercises do them slow and steady to prevent injury.
